HISTORY One my first day of class in American History 101, my professor William Vance Trollinger, Ph.D. talked about how people oftentimes are drawn to history and the researching the past as a way of establishing their own roots and ties to the past. I honestly have no idea if that is why history is so fascinating to me. Dr. Trollinger's statement did strike a chord in me when I thought about how often we moved when I was younger. Maybe it is because my family has been in the United States of America for so long and there are no ties to the "motherland" any longer. This is the section of my web site that will probably never cease to grow. My "Womyn's Story" is still growing and there are always new things to research in the past. Please feel free to browse through the right hand menu to find more information on some of the stories-in-progress. |
