KELLY << Back to the Poem List

Kelly of the irrepressible smile and dancing eyes
Infectious laughter draws those around into her carefree dance
Impromptu, her devotants lift her high, hoping for a glimpse of light
Undaunted, she throws back the doors and allows entrance to her soul

Trusting, giving, caring. Pearls before swine?

For only the truly sensitive can appreciate this jewel
The rare and precious gift of friendship and understanding
The knowledge of the inmost without condemnation
The diligence and drive, the servant's heart

Should the heart be shuttered from pain? Would changing the soul protect?
